MTV NEWS SHOW HIGHLIGHTS:
- Ask Obama (2008) – Show Producer. Interview with Senator Barack Obama two days before presidential election. Coordinated with field producers on all editorial content and lead postproduction team.
- Hip Hop’s Hottest MC’s (2008 & 2009) -- Show Producer. Directed multi-camera Round Table debate. Supervised edit and scripted pieces within the show. \
- MTV News Presents: The Amazing Break (2006 &2007) – Show co-Producer. Profiled college students taking part in ‘Alternative’ Spring Breaks. Field produced shoots at various locations including Costa Rica and Northern Israel/Lebanon border. Directed and wrote studio wraps. Field produced “The Equality Ride,” winner of 2007 GLAAD Award for Outstanding TV Journalism-News Segment.
- All Eyes On: Christina Aguilera (2006) – Show Producer and Writer. Hosted by John Norris, it profiled the life and career of Christina Aguilera, in her own words. Oversaw editorial direction and production team.
- MTV News Presents: The Jay-Z Hangar Tour (2006) – Show Producer. Coordinated production team that followed Jay-Z on a one day, seven city tour across the United States. Entire show was turned around in 24 hours. Supervised edits and coordinated field production teams stationed around the country.
- Diary of Gideon in Pakistan (2005) – Show Co-Producer. A documentary on how young people in Pakistan were coping after the deadly 2005 Earthquake. Received 2006 News & Documentary Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Achievement In Content For Non-Traditional Delivery Platforms.
- MTV News Presents: After the Tsunami (2005) – Show Co-Producer. 60 minute documentary on South East Asian Tsunami recovery efforts. Field Produced and directed shoots in Phuket, Thailand. Created story lines and discovered main characters. Managed team of 6 including on-camera talent, SuChin Pak.
- MTV News Presents: Wedding Crashers Movie Special (2005) -- Show Producer/Director. In depth analysis of the actors and story lines of one of the biggest movies of 2005. Was responsible for show’s editorial content, all field producing (taking place in 3 cities), writing questions for talent, supervising edits and managing production team.
- MTV News Presents: Snoop To the Extreme (2003) -- Show Producer/Writer. A humorous look at the life and career of Snoop Dogg. In charge of all editorial content, supervising edits and hiring production crew. Booked Bootsy Collins and Funkmaster Flex as voice over talents.
- The Wrap (2003) -- Series Producer. A bi-weekly show recorded in the MTV Newsroom that analyzed the world of music and pop culture. Was responsible for overseeing editorial content, conceiving story ideas and developing pitches. Directed studio crew, scheduling shoots, managing staff, and rehearsing hosts Gideon Yago and Iann Robinson.
